We cater for our customers' entire fertiliser program by offering an end-to-end service. An important step in this process is ensuring timely, efficient and safe delivery of the product.
Between Fertspread's bulk transport vehicles and large network of reliable subcontractors, the company can ensure delivery is in line with our customers schedule, the weather and spreader availability.
Fertspread conduct job inspections to ensure that delivery sites are appropriate, and product can be covered in adverse weather conditions.
Service Coverage
A little time and thought invested in a suitable dumpsite will ensure that product can be easily unloaded by a truck and dog and reloaded into the spreader. It also minimises the chances of contamination with grass/ground cover which will in turn minimise wastage and ensure that spread pattern accuracy is not affected. It will also be appreciated by your spreading contractor. Foreign objects loaded into a spreader can cause an enormous amount of damage to equipment.
Dumpsites
An ideal dumpsite is on dry, level, bare ground, free of rock or debris. It is extremely important that the dumpsite is not on uneven or slopping ground, and that long grass is avoided. Access and space around the dumpsite should be considered to ensure there is enough room for a truck and dog to unload and for a front-end loader to operate.

Tarps
Certain bulk products require covering to protect them from the elements while they are stockpiled prior to spreading.
Superphosphate and other granulated fertilisers need to be covered if there is rain on the forecast.
Tarps are generally made from silage plastic and must be weighted down. Car tyres are suitable as they do not rip the tarp. Your dumpsite should have car tyres nearby.
